    Dear Darren,

Hope your adventures are going great.
Having read through airbnb website, it seems like a great option to have and use. There’s no doubt that I will be using them one way or another some time in the future.
Although it is for everyone’s safety, the only little part that I am a bit hesitant of is the verification process, which requires government documentation.
In your opinion, without asking you to make recommendations, do you feel it’s safe to provide such documents online? It’s not something we are often asked for online, right?

However, thank you for your overall information. Your posts and general information are always very helpful.

    Regards

    Nick

      Hi Nick,

I think the reason AirBNB asks for that information is so you don’t rent a property through their system and then steal all the furniture in the property and run away with it. When you validate who you are, there is a greater sense of security on the part of the renters who are basically letting strangers into their properties. So I think it’s a good idea and I had no problem showing my ID to AirBNB. It’s a highly trusted website used by hundreds of thousands of people all around the world.
