The women of Peru are a colorful bunch. Young, happy and colorful on one end. Old, wrinkled and toothless on the other. This article contains the photos of 81 different Peruvian women. The photos were taken during my 5-month trip through Peru in the early months of 2011. All photos taken with the Canon Rebel T2i and the Canon 28-135mm lens.

thanks for sharing, interesting to see not one single pair of sunglasses in sight.
I am guessing by the many frown creases that the sun is glaring and the hats are not enough protection.
    Love the colourful outfits…

Darren, the beautiful women of Peru are beautiful.

I have a question about the photo taking: How do you do it? How do you move photo taking to top priority?

Whatever you’re doing obviously works because all one sees in these photos is natural beauty.

I’ve been saying a lot lately that you can either ride your bike OR take photos, but to do both on the same day is pretty difficult. So I usually take very few photos when I am on the move, but then I set aside certain days just to go out and take pictures. And that’s how I’ve been doing it lately. It is either a travel day… or a photo day. But rarely do I combine the two.

My favorite is the pic of the woman with the tray of orange drinks – wow! TONS of color there!

As in Peru women are beautiful all over the world. During my limited travels by bike I’ve always been fascinated by the natural environment where I’m at and there were always beautiful women in sight. Even in the remote locales. They go hand in hand.

    Darren,
Thanks for this site. I was in Lima for several months – about the same time, and you have truly captured the colors and faces. Makes me a little homesick to return. Excellent work.
