Bicycle Touring Shoes – Walking & Cycling

I’m starting a new series of posts here on Bicycle Touring Pro. There are so many times when I am traveling or preparing for a bike tour when I have just one or two photos that I want to share with you. In the past I haven’t necessarily felt that these photos by themselves have constituted a blog post of their own. Instead, I’ve tended to post these types of pictures on Facebook, where they are appreciated by the growing community there. But after a few days pass, the Facebook pictures scroll off the main landing page and are rarely ever viewed again.

So, instead of letting these great pictures of planning, prepping, and life on the road get forever lost, I’ve decided to start a new category of articles here on Bicycle Touring Pro where I will be sharing just one (and sometimes maybe two or three photos) in a single short blog post. I won’t be posting every single photo I take while out bicycle touring, but I will be sharing the best of the images that I take. I hope these pictures inspire you, excite you, and motivate you in some way to conduct your own bicycle touring adventures.

For this first image: This is a picture of the shoes I am currently using on my 8+ month bicycle tour across Europe. Shoes are such an important part of the bicycle touring experience, so I think that this is an excellent place to start. The pair on the left is a regular pair of Nike running shoes and the pair on the right is a pair of SPD cycling shoes that I use when I am on the bike.

very much and hope to continue to follow you.
It’s very, very hot and humid here in Camarillo, we will be glad to get back to
    normal temps.
Take care and will follow you.
