I am a &quot;rough&quot; camper and prefer to find places far from any type of civilization and certainly do avoid &quot;campgrounds&quot;. I plan my trips, what I will need, and prepare for emergencies.

This month, I am taking a friend on a 5 day camping trip in Norther California. When planning the trip, one of the first things he mentioned was &quot;I bet there is probably a good place to grab a burger near there.&quot; That is not anything I would even think about much less care about in planing my trips and told him that the nearest businesses would be at least 20 miles away from where we would be camping. He still wants to go but he will never be a true outdoorsman.</description>
