How To Carry A Potted Plant On Your Bicycle

After finishing the Bike Switzerland Challenge Tour, I cycled from Arbon to Wil, Switzerland. Once in Wil I purchased the potted flowers you see in the photographs above. I got the plant as a birthday gift for Gabi Rybicki, the woman I would be staying with in Bazenheid, Switzerland for the next ten days or so. Purchasing the flowers was the easy part. Getting them to the Rybicki home was quite as easy. I was, however, able to remove my sleeping bag from my rear pannier, bungee cord it to my rear rack, and then stuff the potted plant down into the hole inside my pannier where the sleeping bag is normally kept. Remarkably, the plant arrived at Gabi’s home in tact and the gift was delivered successfully!
