Canon PowerShot SD1100IS 8MP Digital Camera
March 29, 2009 by Darren Alff

This is my current point and shoot digital camera. It’s an 8 megapixel camera with a 3X standard and 12X digital zoom. The Canon Powershot SD1100 has a wide 2.5 inch LCD screen, an optical viewfinder, image stabilization, built in flash, and everything else you expect from a digital camera these days. I use its 10 second timer to position myself in my travel photos and often times use the video feature to record impromptu moments as they occur. The camera records to a standard SD card and comes in blue, pink, brown, silver and gold (Mine is gold). To protect the camera on your travels, you might want to purchase the Canon PSC-1000 camera case, which comes in both grey and burgundy.

If you were asking Santa for a new touring camera what would you ask for?
Your site is great!
Merry Christmas
The little point and shoots are great for bike tours, but they lack a lot of features that can really make for great photographs. I personally would like to get something more professional in the future so I can really improve my photography. Something like the Canon Rebel would be nice: http://tinyurl.com/yboozz2 It’s big, but it’s capable of so much more. I guess it just depends on mow important your photographs are to you.
