Cycling Morocco – An Interview With Pat & Cat Patterson
June 30, 2008 by Darren Alff
Pat and Cat Patterson are a couple from Oxnard, California who spent four years riding their bicycles around the world. By the time they returned home in 2006, the Pattersons had traveled through 4 continents and 57 countries.
A few months ago I did an interview with the Pattersons in which we discussed the basic overview of their travels, but in today’s discussion we have focused our conversation on their trip through Morocco.
For those who don’t know, Morocco is a country located in North Africa that borders Algeria to the east and Mauritania to the south.
After riding through North America and Europe (what the Pattersons refer to as their “Training Ride”), Pat and Cat crossed by boat from Gibraltar, Spain and began their journey by bicycle through the Kingdom Of Morocco.
