Let’s Talk About How You Can Get Free Lodging For Your Travels – This Tuesday At 6 PM (Pacific Time)

February 11, 2010 by

This coming Tuesday (February 16) at 6 PM Pacific Time I will be conducting a live video broadcast in which I will be discussing the topic of FREE LODGING for BICYCLE TRAVELERS.

Over the past 10 years I have received thousands of dollars worth of free hotel rooms, campgrounds, hostels, bed & breakfasts etc. On February 16th I’ll share with you just how I did it… and how you can do the same!

I’ll also spend some time talking about “The Ultimate Guide To Free Lodging“, which is a resource I created last year to help bicycle travelers obtain free accommodations for their travels.

To tune into the event, simply return to this page on Tuesday,  February 16th at 6PM (Pacific Time) and click the play button on the video below. You may also choose to view the event from the official Bicycle Touring Pro UStream channel.

For those in other time zones, click here to see what time you need to tune in for this event. I hope to see you there!

If you can’t get the video to work on the screen above, try joining the show at: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/bicycle-touring-pro

    Darren,

Having a problem finding an alternative front fork mount for a front rack. My steel touring bike has a Winwood carbon front fork for disc brakes, but no screw in mounts for attaching a front wheel rack. Adventure Cycling does sell a model that attaches to the cantilever mounts, but it appears that the bottom mount will conflict with the disc brake mechanism.

    thanks,
    Hoyt

    Hi Darren,

I’ll be making my first bicycle tour this summer riding from Calais to Barcelona so I’ve been checking out as many rear and front racks for my disc brake mountain bike as possible. I’ve found that Axiom (http://www.axiomgear.com) make a good range of racks to suit or kind of bikes… here’s a link for the front rack.

    hope this helps.
