Lover’s Land Motorcycle Surf Tour
June 15, 2009 by Darren Alff

There have been numerous books written by bicycle travelers. The novels come about because the experiences one has while traveling by bike are, often times, life-altering. However, there are times when the experiences one has when traveling by bike can best be portrayed through images. And such is the case with the amazing bike touring blog at loverslandblog.com.
While not a “traditional bicycle tour” in any sense, the characters of Lover’s Land were small time motorcycle enthusiasts who came up with the idea to do a motorcycle trip in Australia. “After very little thought and even less planning, they set out from Syndney on three 650 Whips with no plan but to find good waves and hang with good people. Along the way they convened friends, artists, kooks, pro surfers, grumpy old fucks, girls, moms, groms, hipsters, wankers, hippies, filmmakers and designers.”
