I took the train from Wroclaw to Lodz, Poland, where I rented an apartment (via AirBNB.com) outside the city center for approximately 10 days. Because of the location of my apartment, I didn’t really get to see as much of the city as I would have liked, but it was a productive week. I spent most of my time working on my Winter Cycling book – finishing the final draft and preparing the document to be converted to Kindle/iPad friendly formats.

On my last day in Lodz I met up with Patrick Mason, a reader from the United States who is working in Warsaw. We walked around town taking pictures, ate pizza at the mall, and discussed some of the things we both like/dislike about Poland and the United States. Overall, my time in Lodz was quite nice. If my apartment had been just a little closer to the center it would have been perfect.
