Schedule Of Events For This Weekend’s Bicycle Lifestyle Web Event

November 19, 2008 by Darren Alff

This weekend’s “Bicycle Lifestyle” web event is here!

The event started on Saturday, November 22nd and ends on Sunday November 23rd at 10:00 Pm Eastern Time.

Here is the schedule of events for both Saturday and Sunday:

Saturday, November 22nd

Sunday, November 23rd

To participate in the event, all you have to do is visit www.BicycleTouringPro.com during the days and times listed above. You can tune in as often or as little as you want. A new article, interview, or product giveaway will take place every hour – on the hour! New articles are added to the center of the home page under the columb titled, “Most Recent Articles.”

Product Giveaways:

In addition to the free information I’ve put together for you, products donated by the Adventure Cycling Association, BicycleTouringPro.com, CycleAware, Lone Peak, Road ID and Yakkay will be raffled off during the event.

Prizes include $750+ worth of mirrors, helmets, gift certificates, packs, memberships and more!

To win, you’ve got to be on the BicycleTouringPro.com mailing list. To enter, just enter your name and email below.

If you are selected as a winner, your name will be posted here on the website during the event and you will be sent an email letting you know that you’ve been selected as a winner. But because I only have the names and email addresses for many BicycleTouringPro.com readers, you must email me back with your mailing address in order for me to ship you your prize! If I have not heard back from you by midnight (Eastern Time) on Monday, November 24, 2008, your prize will be sacrificed and given to someone else. So it pays to tune in this weekend and find out if you’ve been selected as a winner!

Don’t Miss Sunday Night!

Finally, on Sunday night at 9 PM Eastern/6 PM Pacific Time, I am going to be doing a live streaming video Q&A session about bicycle touring.

What does this mean? It means that I am going to be using my computer’s webcam to broadcast a video of myself LIVE over the Internet. During this session, you will be able see me on your computer screen and ask me any question you want about bicycle touring, bicycle travel, or the bicycle lifestyle. It’s going to be a lot of fun… and I’ll have some great information for you at that time.

Now click here to go back to the homepage and enjoy the most recently updated content.

I have decided to ride my road bike on the trainer tonight during the live web cast portion of the show. I challenge you all to do the same. ARE YOU UP TO IT?

  8. Darren Alff on November 23rd, 2008 4:59 pm

Michael. Ha! That’s a great idea. I’ll try and get others to do the same! I won’t be on my trainer – strickly for sound purposes! But thanks for the idea. Funny stuff!

I am riding from NY to California on a tour to raise funds for American Brain Tumor Association, inspired by the recent passing of my cousin, and the tour has been receiving a lot of interest, with people from around the world following the blog even before the trek has started. Doesn’t apear to be boring to people, rather, I have had an outpouring of interest, garnered a sponsor, and many offers for hospitality. Newspapers haven’t responded to press releases yet, but the blog gets hits every day.
    Thanks,
    Thomas
