Swiss Days Parade Photos – Midway, Utah
September 5, 2010 by Darren Alff
Every year, during the month of September, the tiny town of Midway, Utah hosts a large festival called “Swiss Days.” The event, which runs over the Labor Day Weekend consists of a 10K run, food and drinks, a parade, live music, art and craft booths, and a memorable barbecue dinner.
After spending two months last year living in Luzern, Switzerland and traveling by bike through numerous Swiss cities, I decided to ride my bike to Midway and check out this year’s Midway Swiss Days festivities. I had hopped to meet some German speaking individuals at the event, but I was unsuccessful in meeting even one person who knew how to speak the German language.
The photos below were taken during the 2010 Swiss Days Parade. Announcers at the event were speculating that as many as 70,000 – 100,000 people would attend the Swiss Days festivities over the Labor Day Weekend.

Darren,
I just found your site and am new to the touring world. My wife and I took our two daughters up to Swiss Days this year and had a blast. We should enter the parade next year and throw on our panniers….or make a Touring Pro float!
All the best,
Carl
