Iceland’s Midnight Sunset

During the month of May, which is when Brandon and I traveled to Iceland for our 25-day bicycle tour, the sun set around 11:30 PM, but it didn’t seem to get dark outside until almost an hour after that. It became extremely cold once the sun went down, but it was only a few hours later when the the sun would ride again on the opposite side of the horizon and a small amount of warmth would return to the land and our bodies.
