The First Signs Of Needing New Bike Shoes

While bicycle touring across the mountains of Romania I received my first hint of needing new bicycle shoes. As I pedaled down out of the mountains and the air temperatures continued todrop, I found myself quickly loosing feeling in the toes on my left foot. Turns out, the hole in the bottom of my shoe had become remarkably bigger and a now massive amount of air was blowing on my toes as I pedaled. At one point in my journey I had to stop and change socks just to get my toes back to a place where I would feel them again. My mind was strong, but my toes were cold, wet and miserable.
