Bicycle Camping With Four Frenchmen

While hiding from the rain at a supermarket in Putte, Netherlands, I spotted four bicycle travelers dressed in all black on the sidewalk across the street from me. Despite the downpour, I approached the men and asked where they were headed. As it turned out, they were planning to spend the night at the very same campground north of town that I was planning to. So I joined the group for a few minutes and led the way to the campground located just outside the main city.

Once in the campground I climbed inside my tent and did my best to get dry. I was soaking wet and so were my new riding companions.

Later that day the sun came out and I was able to snap a few photos of the young men I had cycled in with and get a picture of my tent (my home in the road) and my bicycle (my car). The next day I rode with the guys for about an hour before waving goodbye and cycling off in a different direction.
