Here’s The Plan:
Saturday – 12:30 PM: We’ll meet in Park City, Utah, prepare our bicycles and then take off on a 30-mile bike ride from old town Park City to the scenic shores of East Canyon State Park. We will be cycling slowly, traveling at a pace that everyone can enjoy and making multiple stops along the way. The Except for three moderate hills along the way, the route on this first day of cycling is mostly downhill.
We’ll make camp for the night in Big Rock Campground, which is situated on the southern edge of the East Canyon Reservoir in East Canyon State Park. After setting up camp, you’ll be served burritos, tortilla chips, salsa and other Mexican cuisine. In the evening, after eating, we’ll sit around the camp, talk and tell stories about our bicycle touring adventures all around the world.
Sunday: After a good night’s rest in our tents, eat a quick breakfast, pack up our bicycles and then cycle 23 miles back to Park City.

Join The Tour!
If this sounds like a bike tour you’d like to participate in, please reserve your spot today! There are only 16 total spots available.
The cost to participate is $175 USD per person. This fee covers the cost of the campground, firewood, one Mexican burrito dinner, dessert, a continental breakfast, a special “Bikes & Burritos” head beanie, professional tour leadership by Darren Alff (the Bicycle Touring Pro) and the transport of camp chairs/personal items between Park City and the campground. You are responsible for getting to the tour’s starting location in Park City, Utah and you must bring your own bicycle, helmet, clothing, camping equipment, camp chair and anything else that you wish to bring.
The roads we’ll be traveling on are a mix of paved streets, dedicated bike paths and dirt/gravel roads. You’ll need a bike that can handle varied terrain. A mountain bike, a hybrid or a touring bike would be ideal. A road bike with skinny tires is not suitable for this tour.
This is a fun, social bike tour (not a race), so feel free to come alone, with a friend, family member, co-worker or loved one.
Because of the high elevation (7,000 feet), varied terrain and several short hills along the way, this tour is rated a 5 out of 10 for difficulty. This is, however, a bike ride that almost anyone could do, but it is not necessarily easy. If you are new to cycling, this is a bike tour that you will need to train for. However, an average cyclist can complete this bike tour with only a moderate amount of difficulty.
If you want a “Bikes & Burritos” T-shirt, please order one here. T-shirts are not included in the price of the bike tour.
IMPORTANT: If you sign up for the tour, please note that there are NO REFUNDS if you decide to cancel. If you sign up for the tour and then cancel at the last minute, you are preventing someone else from participating in the tour. Therefore, no refunds will be given. We will be doing the tour no matter what the weather.
I look forward to meeting you and I can’t wait to share my passion for bike travel with you and the others on the Bicycle Touring Pro “Bikes & Burritos” overnight bicycle tour in beautiful Park City, Utah.
