Check Out My Interview In Cycling Utah Magazine

I live in the state of Utah. I haven’t always lived here (I’m actually from Southern California), but I moved to Utah about four years ago and I absolutely love it here.

Recently, Cycling Utah magazine asked to interview me and feature some of my bicycle touring exploits in their May issue.

Well, the May issue is here… and my interview has been posted!

In the interview I discuss my first bicycle touring adventures, the origins of BicycleTouringPro.com, my favorite places in Utah (and around the world) for riding a bike, my thoughts on the future of bicycle travel… and a whole lot more.

To download a free copy of the magazine, just click here. My interview starts on page 30.

  1. Samuel Golden says:

Darren, I am a touring cyclist as well and I live in South Salt Lake. Where in Utah are you?

  2. Samuel Golden says:

I have done some MTB rides up there but I haven’t toured up there yet. What do you think is the best way to get up there from the valley? Parleys is out…
    Great website man!

  3. Bicycle Touring Pro says:

Yeah, that’s the problem. It’s a really big hill up here to Park City. I rarely go down to Salt Lake because I don’t have a car and cycling back up takes forever. I usually just try and hitch a ride. The easiest way up might be to go from Provo up through Heber City. It’s a much longer ride, but not quite as steep.
