After a long day of riding in the cold, wet fog of western Ukraine, I finally reached a small city center where food and water could be purchased. On the outskirts of town I met a young man named Max who I approached and asked for directions to the nearest market. Rather than pointing me down the road to find the market on my own, however, Max told me to walk with him. So that’s what I did. We crossed a large set of train tracks and found a corner market not too far away where I was able to purchase some food and water for the evening.
