The Risnov Fortress In Romania Is A Let Down

I rode my bicycle from Brasov, Romania to nearby Risnov, climbed the hill that overlooks the city and paid 10 lei to tour the Risnov fortress. Sadly, it was money wasted and I was terribly disappointed with what laid inside. The fortress consisted of an impressive exterior wall and nothing but rubble on the inside. There were a couple old walls to look at and a few built up tourist shops, but other than that the fortress was a real let down. If you’re planning a trip to Risnov, go and tour the outside of the fortress, but you might want to pass on the interior. There’s nothing really to be seen there. Bummer.
