I rode my bicycle from the center of Krakow to the nearby Wieliczka Salt Mine. Once there I paid about $25 USD for a 3-hour tour of the underground labyrinth, filled with dozens of tunnels and chambers that had been built up over the years for tourists and religious reasons alike. The mine hasn’t been used for salt extraction in quite some time, but it is one of Krakow’s major must-see attractions. I enjoyed the tour, but wasn’t necessarily blown away by it. A little too touristy for my liking.
