Blind Pilot is a band from Portland, Oregon who, in 2006, toured the west coast of the United States from Bellingham, Washington to San Diego, California on their bicycles. They hauled their instruments behind them and played music all along the way.
Inspired by the music and enthusiasm of Blind Pilot, filmmakers Max Dunn and Emily Ellickson-Brown decided to hit the road and follow the band with video cameras as they made their way down the coast on this unusual bicycle touring adventure. The filmmakers documented as much of the tour as they possibly could – shooting for 2 months, covering 2,000+ miles and 40 different shows.
After returning from the tour, Blind Pilot recorded their album Three Rounds and a Sound, added seven more musicians to the group, were featured as the iTunes single of the week, and caught the attention of NPR.
