Bicycle Touring In Turkey Is Beautiful

The more I travel and experience new places, the more I realize what I like and what I don’t. I’m not a beach person, but I love the mountains and the deserts. For whatever reason, I just feel happy when I am out in nature, alone, and in a place where I can’t see another human being in any direction I look. I like that. But for other people, this might sound terrible or frightening… and I get that too.

People often ask me, “Where should I go on my next bicycle tour?” I could, of course, tell you some places in the world that I have enjoyed, but the truth is, you should go to the places YOU are most interested in. If you like the beach, go to the beach. But if you like cycling through desert landscapes like these pictured here in northern Turkey, then get yourself into the desert. Don’t just go somewhere because everyone else is going there. Go somewhere that you are truly passionate about exploring!
