Istanbul Old Town

The apartment I rented in Istanbul has fleas. Yes, fleas. So while my apartment was getting flea bombed this morning I went out and explored old town Istanbul. I went to the Egyptian Bazaar, the Grand Bazaar, the Blue Mosque and the New Mosuque. I also walked across the Galata Bridge two times, sweat my way around the old city walls and then returned to my apartment by way of the Galata Tower, Taksim Squuare and the European shopping district. Does my apartment still have fleas? It’s too soon to tell.

Wow that was quite a long walk and a very short time to see all those places. How did you like the Grand Bazaar? I found it irritating as hell. But everything else is beautiful. Glad I was their in Feb though because I didn’t have the crowds.

Penny, why was the bazaar irritating for you? I think I know, but I didn’t have a single person bother me or try to sell me while I was there. It was really strange. Almost as though I were invisible.

Random question… where did you get the flea bomb from? I’ve got an infestation here in Levent and am trying to find out how to get rid of them. Thanks.
