Spending My Birthday With Mihai & Claudia

I don’t think Mihai or Claudia had any idea that today was my birthday. My 29th birthday.

I met Mihai and Claudia at the paragliding competition this weekend and they kindly volunteered to drive me back to Brasov after the competition ended.

We went out for lunch at a restaurant in downtown Targu Mures and then drove for an hour or so to the walled city of Sighisoara where we had lunch at a fancy Dracula themed restaurant and then drove for another hour or so thorugh the rain back to Brasov. Mihai and Claudia dropped me off at Robert‘s apartment, where I then spent the night alone working on my computer and watching the movie “Man On A Ledge.”

I’m not a big birthday person in general. I don’t want people to give me gifts or feel obligated to say “Happy Birthday.” But I do like to try and do something special on my birthday… and spending the day with Mihai and Claudia in Romania was certainly a special way to spend the day.
