16 Photos From The Beautiful Little City Of Split, Croatia

The city of Split is the second largest city in all of Croatia (with Zagreb being the largest). The city lies on the eastern shore of the Adriatic Sea and serves as both a popular tourist destination and a port to many of the nearby Adriatic islands that surround the area.

I traveled to Split in April of 2009 before jumping on a ferry boat and traveling to the island of Korcula. The following are just a few of the photos I took while in Split.

Great to see pictures of Split. I went there in the 80’s and I’ve always wondered if the wars affected it. Looks like the answer is no. Your post of being present is key. A key to life really. Check out Zen Mind Beginners Mind.

  2. Camping Croatia Split says:

War affected Split def., but Split has recovered, and now is one of the most interesting towns on Adriatic Coast. Our camp was devastated in 1990, but now we can proudly say it we returned the glow, and we can host camp visitors with pride. Great article with nice photos, but people should more about Splits ancient history.
